Preparation and Assessment
Before any stone coated steel roofing goes down, Minklein Construction conducts a thorough on-site evaluation of the existing roof structure. The team examines ventilation and any areas of concern that Florida's heavy rainfall or hurricane damage may have left behind. Once the old roofing is removed, the decking is checked, and any sheets that need replacing are replaced at the per-sheet price set in your contract, so you know the cost up front. Proper underlayment is then installed to create a reliable moisture barrier suited to the demands of the local hurricane-prone climate, and sound decking helps keep the new roof in place through hurricane season. Every decision made during this phase is grounded in over 20 years of hands-on experience with metal roof installation across a wide range of residential properties.
